We are only 8 weeks out from the 2012 Talladega Family Reunion being held in conjunction with the Corvette Muscle Car Nationals in Chicago on November 17th and 18th. This will be our 3rd Reunion and is open to all 1969 Ford Talladega, Mercury Cyclone Spoiler and Spoiler II cars. The first two were terrific and this one should be no different. We are down a few cars from what we have had at previous shows but there is still time for you to get your car registered. To date we have the following:
- 1969 Cyclone Spoiler II, red/white (two)
- 1969 Cyclone Spoiler II, blue/white (one)
- 1969 Talledega, blue (three)
- 1969 Talledega, yellow (one)
- 1969 Talledega Prototype, white (one)
- 1969 Talledega, white (three)
- 1969 Talledega, maroon (two)
- 1969 Talledega, Benny Parsons racer, yellow (one)
Although we have at least one of each color of Spoiler II and Talladega cars we have NO SPOILERS registered. If you own a 69 Spoiler this is your opportunity to really be the stand out!
If you have not yet registered there are still a few spaces left. Bob Ashton has set aside 40 spaces for the Talladega, Spoilers, and MOPAR Winged cars. As of right now we have 15 cars registered and they have 15 mopars registered. So there are 10 spaces left to be filled. Please hurry and register if you would like to come. Remember, there is no registration fee! Just let Jason Thompson know you want to be included and he will make sure you get your invitation. Also make sure to make your hotel reservations soon. We look forward to seeing everyone soon!
Feel free to email or call Jason atanytime!

About the Author: Some of my first memories and strongest memories of my childhood relate to cars. I still remember back when things happened based on what car I was drinving at the time. I grew up and lived in Iowa for nearly 40 years before moving to Southern California. I was a Corvette fanatic for years but then discovered vintage American Muscle. My wife, Katrina, and I decided we wanted to focus on a unique and rare muscle car. After a lot of research we fell in love with the Ford Blue Oval Aero Cars. These were only built in 1969 and their only purpose was to win NASCAR races using their Boss 429 and 427 power plants complimented with a special, wind cheating, aerodynamic body. The Ford Talladega and Mercury Cyclone Spoiler II are terrific and historic cars for sure. This site is devoted to them and their owners past and present.
