Talladega Rear Fender Extension Trim

We all know how terrific and special our 1969 Ford Talladegas are. Unfortunately, we also know how hard it is to locate NOS or high quality replacement parts for our rides. Luckily, we have some very special folk in our group who are talented enough and committed enough to invest their time, talent and money into making replacements for those unattainable parts.

Marty Burke is one of those people in our group of Ford/Mercury collectors that is highly dedicated to keeping our cars on the road with all the right looks. Here is the latest part he has made to hopefully help get more Talladega’s on the road.

It will also help keep a lot of 1968 and 1969 Fairlanes and Torinos looking sharp. His rear quarter panel extension molding for 1968-1969 Torino Fastback (fastbacks only) are now available.

The part number is C9OZ-6329078/79. They run $235/pair and the tooling was made from his NOS stock so you know they are correct!

Send Marty an email at MBurke6662@aol.com or better yet, give him a call at (903) 587-3673. Make sure to ask Marty what else he has to help you restore your Talladega or Spoiler II.

Some of my first and strongest memories from my childhood relate to cars. I still remember when things happened based on what car I was driving at the time. I grew up and lived in Iowa for nearly 40 years before moving to Southern California and now live in Tennessee. I was a Corvette fanatic for years but then re-discovered vintage American Muscle. My wife, Katrina, and I decided we wanted to focus on unique and rare muscle cars. After a lot of research we fell in love with the Ford Blue Oval Aero Cars. These were only built in 1969 and and aerodynamics became an important part of winning races. The only purpose of these limited production cars was to win NASCAR races using the Boss 429 and 427 power plants complimented with a special, wind cheating, aerodynamic body. The Ford Talladega and Mercury Cyclone Spoiler II are terrific and historic cars. This site is devoted to these car and their owners past and present. We provide an Online Registry for recording the long term history and ownership of every remaining Talladega, Spoiler and Spoiler II.
