1969 Dan Gurney Spoiler II For Sale

The Dan Gurney Spoiler II cars are among the most difficult to acquire. Once you find yours it is even more difficult to part with. Unfortunately, one of our Blue Oval friends finds himself in just such a position. I recently received an email placing a new Classified Ad on our sister web site www.LegendaryCollectorCars.com and just had to help Doug out.
Two ill parents, one terminal, forces the reluctant sale of his dream car. This is the real deal, he has the Elite Marti Report which is included. This isn’t an original car and most likely is beyond restoration but it is a car most of us dream of building. It currently is a project car undergoing a full resto-mod transformation. All of the sheet metal and rust repairs are complete. This includes all the floors, trunk floor, full cowl, lower quarters, all replaced with new metal. All of the rare Spoiler II parts are present and in excellent condition.
Now for the important part; the shock towers have been removed from the car and a full coil over suspension has been installed. The Gurney II is now set up for a DOHC 4.6 motor and T56 six speed transmission! The motor has a stack fuel injection system with processor, softwear and all sensors except for 02’s which will need to be installed with the exahaust. T56 has a custom tranny mount already installed along with pedal setup. As much as Doug hates to sell this dream project he states that he is willing to sell the car with or without the drivetrain, your choice. There is plenty of room for a Boss 429 or a Cammer.
The interior includes a full weatherstrip kit, new door panels, excellent dash pad, kick panels. The rear seat will have to be recovered and there is no front bench. Better yet, a set of electric buckets done in the correct factory color are included if desired. All glass is present except for front windshield. All of the chrome has been redone and most of the stainless polished.
If you want to know more or find out about pricing email Doug at for more information give Doug a call at 859-321-0199 or email him at dougcouch.couch@gmail.com. He needs the money but might consider some Ford trade.
