Wayne Perkins: 1969 Spoiler II, Cale Yarborough Special
Wayne Perkins a fellow member of the Daytona Superbird Auto Club has been neglecting his Winged Mopar to work on a Blue Oval! This is a 1969 Mercury Cyclone Spoiler II Cale Yarborough Special he just completed.
Note the seam on the fender where the NASCAR nose is grafted on.
Body looks really good under all that old paint that has been removed.
Here is a question Wayne and I both can’t answer; What does the “757” marking on the rear bumper mount area mean? If you know please leave a comment below or send me an email.
Paint is on!
Just needs the correct wheels and wow!
These cars car really grab your attention.

Most assembly plants had sequencing numbers that have nothing to do with the eventual VIN of the car. My Cale has “793” crayon marking under the rear bumper.
