Great info on Talladegas. Currently there are two Maroon Talladegas and one SpoilerII here in Lubbock, TX. Both T’s were sold new at the local Pollard Friendly Ford. I have heard that this local dealer sold multiple T-cars in ’69.
My maroon car is featured in the new book titled “Jerry Heasley’s Rare Finds”. The book is worth buying, it has a bunch of cool stories on muscle car finds.

Pat, I know that your entry in the Registry was in 2011, and I don’t know if you still have the Talladega or not, but I noticed that you your’s was purchased from Pollard Ford in Lubbock. I purchased an identical Maroon T from Pollard in August, 1969 and have been trying to track this car down. The last of my Vin was 206394. When I purchased it I had the dealer add on the Torino Cobra style hood scoop and hood pins, and a thin-line underdash A/C unit. I am living in Amarillo now, and have been unable to find any info on the car or it’s whereabouts. Just wondered if you might know anything about it. Thanks, and hope you still own your’s. Hello Richard and Kat
I’m the guy with the unrestored cale, from Utah. I do now have a new motor and drive train, for my car.
Today I found a Dan G. not too far south of home,I will go to check it out this evening. It’s in the same town my car was sold new. This is the 4th spoiller II I now have seen in this state. That seems odd.
I’ll let you know what I find. Mark Aletto 9H15M565917
Yes, there may be casting numbers on the back of the block on the drivers side. However, these are nearly impossible to see while the engine is in the car.
Hello everyone,Just became a member and made a deal on 69CYS this afternoon. To say its a project is being kind.It has the 500 badge under cyclone on the qtr but no flag.Anyone seen that before?
I’ve made a few posts as a guest recently and I sure enjoy this website and all the good folks that participate in it.
I am a current owner of two 1968 Torino GT Fastbacks and one 1968 Cyclone.
I have been a fan of these cars since my first NASCAR Grand National Series race at Charlotte in 1969 ( National 500)
I have not made the plunge into the Talladega or Cyclone Spoiler or Spoiler II market yet…but my goal is to be head first into that market within the next 24 months.
My knowledge of the cars is about as good as it gets from seeing them and reading everything I can about them for the last 40 plus years. I am in no uncertain terms a Die Hard Ford Fan. These cars launched that love affair from the start.
Many years ago , I believe it was 1993 , I had the pleasure of meeting Ralph Moody of the Holman Moody Jaugernaut Team. I was able to check out his black Talladega Prototype that was then stored at his residence in my home town of Charlotte NC. Mr. Moody was so kind and eager to share stories about how this car came about , I was riveted in my seat at his table listening to everything he had to say. I’m thrilled to see that his son Ralph Jr. whom I’ve never met is restoring this car and contributing to this website.
Greetings to one and all from the home of the NASCAR Hall of Fame…where legends live.
Hello. Going to look at a Talladega for a customer in the near future. I know very little about Ford’s in general. Your site has helped prepare me for the visual inspection, especially the FCA Judging Form. Glad to have found this site and the wealth of information on it.
Wow, it is a real honor to have you a part of the Talladega Family. I am familiar with your work and expertise in the MOPAR World and welcome you to the Blue Oval Family.

Cool Site. I have a maroon Talladega. I will check my VIN? Is there any way to confirm that the car is matching numbers? Casting numbers on the block?
